OSGeo: A Brief Introduction

Who has heard of OSGeo, or knows what it stands for?

Another question...

Who has heard of QGIS or PostGIS?

Neither QGIS or PostGIS would be where they are now without OSGeo

We would not be here at FOSS4GUK without OSGeo; in fact there would be no FOSS4G without OSGeo

OK... so what is it?

OSGeo == Open Source Geospatial Foundation

Brief History
